We are happy to announce that our teacher Ryushin Paul Haller Roshi will be visiting us from the 19th April to the 1st May. Full details of the events including sesshin are listed below.

Honouring the Path 10am to 4pm
This workshop will present teachings on the principles of zen practice and on how to sit zazen as the direct expression of these principles.
This will include hands-on instructions on the details of awareness of physical posture, breath, mental activity and emotions in zazen. Guided meditation based on these instructions, with time for questions and answers. There will discussion and interactive exercises on how to bring the awareness of zazen into the activities of everyday life.

Sunday 24th April
Zazen Meditation & Service 10:30am to 11:45am
Developing the Body Breath and Mind of Zazen 1:30pm to 4:30pm
This workshop will describe in detail the posture of zazen and help participants find the combination of cushions that will allow them to sit upright comfortably. The classic breathing method of zazen will be presented with some exercises to help open up the breath. There will also will discussion on how to work with thoughts and difficult emotions.

Sesshin at Benburb Priory.
The sesshin will start Tuesday evening and end on Sunday afternoon.
Attendees can either attend for the whole period or for the weekend from Friday evening to Sunday.
