The Path of Zen (in-person and online)

Led by Ryushin Paul Haller

Even though the path of practice unfolds uniquely for each person, there are features that are common to us all. Initially we’re challenged to discover how to settle and see what’s happening in our heart and mind. This is zazen, both seated and in action.

We’re challenged to let that awareness reveal the patterns of our thinking and feeling and responses and how they shape our behaviour. Then we’re challenged to let the insights that have been revealed guide and support us to bring kindness and wisdom to our relationships, work and the continuous discovery of how to live this one wild and precious life.

This workshop will describe traditional awareness techniques of body, breath and mind and offer support and guidance in practising them. We will practise some of these techniques in the workshop and discuss what challenges they present and how they can be incorporated into everyday life.

We invite you to participate online via Zoom or by attending in person at Black Mountain Zen Centre. We will record the event and send the link online if you request.

  • Suggested donation £25, but please just donate whatever you can afford – your presence is the most important offering.
