Learning How to Live Our Life (in-person and online)
Led by Ryushin Paul Haller
Each of us is challenged to address the conflicts within our psychological being, our relationships and the demanding agendas of our lives. While these challenges are usually the source of distress, when we’re skillful in how we relate to them, they can be a source of insight and psychological stability, and enhance our capacity to respond with resilience and compassion.
In this workshop we will explore the Buddhist teachings that can help us to sustain our well-being while we respond to our challenges: how to find the Middle Way between acting out a preoccupation with our experience and suppressing or denying that experience.
This Middle Way, a basic tenet of Buddhist practice, fosters a clarity of purpose and harmonious engagement that promotes an insightful rather than conflicted response to the powerful issues of who we are and what to do with our life.
We invite you to participate online via Zoom or by attending in person at Black Mountain Zen Centre. We will record the event and send the link online if you request.
- Suggested donation £25, but please just donate whatever you can afford – your presence is the most important offering.
